Oracle
Exhange
Oracle Exchange is an optional supplier connectivity network
that GE has chosen not to use. GE has
implemented "Direct Punchout" to reduce costs and an additional layer
in the Punchout process.
Punchout
The process of opening a portal into a supplier's online
catalog for the purpose of collecting product and service information to
be used in eProcurement purchase order creation. Also known as Round
Trip.
eProcurement
The use of computer-based purchasing system to
aquire goods and services. Purchasing system typically ties into Accounting software to streamline
Supply Chain Management.
